J.M. Wright Technical High School Groundbreaking

The J.M. Wright groundbreaking ceremony was held on Thursday, October 10th, 2013, at 10:00a.m. The welcoming remarks were given by Interim Superintendent, Dr. Nivea L. Torres and CTHSS Chairperson, Mr. Robert J. Trefry. The Commissioner of Education, Mr. Stefan Pryor and Govenor Dannel P. Malloy also gave remarks on what the reopening of Wright Tech means to the southwest section of Connecticut. Northeast Collaborative Architects, KBE Building Corporation, and Turner Construction Company were hired for the renovation. The total project cost is $90,230,992. The overall size of the project is 199,135 sq. feet of building renovation and 1550 sq. feet of new construction. The completion of the renovation is scheduled for May 2014.
