The next professional development workshop for members of AFT Connecticut-affiliated teachers' unions will provide training in how to introduce visual art across the curriculum and in your classroom. Join us next month to learn more about how the arts can help your students analyze text, improve their creative writing, develop communication skills and much more:

WHEN: Tuesday, April 10 from 5:00PM to 7:30PM.
WHERE: The Soifer Conference Room on the second floor of AFT Connecticut union headquarters, located at 35 Marshall Road in Rocky Hill (plenty of free parking available).
HOW: Click here to sign-up online - there is no cost for dues-paying members, but please RSVP in advance because a light dinner will be served.

We’re bringing back our own EastCONN Federation of Teachers union member Stacy Vocasek to present this brand new course. She will lead you through an activity with time to debrief and brainstorm how it could be used in your classroom. Materials will be provided, along with with strategies and resources for implementation.

I hope to see you next month in Rocky Hill for what is sure to be a fun and enlightening session.

In solidarity,

Jennifer Benevento
