Would you know what to do in an emergency situation at your workplace? Attend our no -cost course for hands-on training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of an Automated External Defibrilator (AED) and basic first aid and your answer will be YES.

There are two options available -- the first is a full, two-session course exclusively for affiliated union members:

WHEN: Thursday, March 15 from 4:00PM to 7:30PM and Saturday, March 17 from 9:00AM to 1:00PM (must attend both sessions to receive certification).

WHERE: The Soifer Conference Room on the second floor of AFT Connecticut union headquarters, located at 35 Marshall Road in Rocky Hill (free parking available).

HOW: Click here to send an email to RSVP — register early because space is limited to the first 20 to sign-up.

The second option is a "refresher" workshop for members whose certification will soon expire (must bring current certification card to participate):

WHEN: Tuesday, March 13 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM.

WHERE: The Soifer Conference Room on the second floor of AFT Connecticut union headquarters, located at 35 Marshall Road in Rocky Hill (free parking available).

HOW: Click here to send an email to RSVP.

Receive an American Safety Health Institute (ASHI)-approved certification card good for two years for participating in either both full course sessions or the refresher. Light dinner will be served at both evening sessions and lunch will be provided at the Saturday session.

I hope you can join us next month for this invaluable course that will go a long way toward helping you create a safer workplace.

In solidarity,
