We’ve organized a brand new professional development course for union members on Google Documents, the free office suite and data storage service. Plan to join fellow PreK-12 teachers next month to learn more about how to apply this powerful and versatile software tool to your classroom:
WHEN: Wednesday, March 21 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.
WHERE: The Soifer Conference Room on the second floor of AFT Connecticut union headquarters, located at 35 Marshall Road in Rocky Hill (plenty of free parking available).
HOW: Click here to sign-up online — there is no cost for dues-paying members to attend, but please RSVP in advance because a light dinner will be served.
The presenter is our own State Vocational Federation of Teachers union member Tommy Viola, who has led our popular courses on Microsoft Excel. Bring a computer or tablet with access to the Internet to follow along during the course and learn how to produce the kinds of files commonly used in school environments.
I hope to see you next month in Rocky Hill for what is sure to be a fun, informative course!
In solidarity,
Jennifer Benevento

P.S. Forward this message to fellow union members who feel would benefit from this unique workshop.
